We sold our house of 26 years in August 2019 and had decided we would buy a travel trailer and explore our beautiful country. We knew we had to be home in November for our newest grandsons birth, so we decided to make a short trip to Colorado during part of August and most of September. We were home for our grandsons birth and the holiday season, but we needed to try out our new RTT rig on our F150. We spent 8 days at Big Bend National Park in Texas and came home to wait for warmer weather out west. In February we left for our destination called the Mojave Desert. We were able to see a lot of the desert and Joshua Tree, but the Covid-19 virus began to spread and California was one of the worst hit areas. We left quicker than we planned for Arizona and Utah. Temperatures were colder than we liked, but we were able to stay away from crowds and people interactions in big open country. We took every precaution starting in early March wearing gloves and mask when getting gas or food. Campgrounds were starting to close as were visitor centers for the parks. We hit Utah for the open public land camping, which worked out fine. We had supplies for weeks and places to park, but it just isn't the same when family back home is going through this pandemic and we were so far away. We like to go into town and get a pizza or hamburger from mom and pop restaurants which are shut down now to restrict social gatherings and the spread of the virus. We decided to head back home and wait this virus out closer to family. We are secure now and I have plenty of time to work with our video and pictures. Samples will be on our Facebook page with more details available on our website. We enjoy our friends following our page and website, and appreciate the likes and comments you share. Share with your friends to allow others to see more of our great and beautiful country that we know will survive and defeat this virus. Stay safe and wash your hands!
