Mammoth Cave National Park
Our first stop headed to Michigan was Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. Our travels have given us many opportunities to explore caves all across the country, but next to Carlsbad Caverns it is the most recognized cave system in the US. We had to go in the cave and see what was so amazing about this famous place. Mammoth has many different tours that people can join and even an unguided tour. We chose the Gothic Avenue Tour due to it's amazing history and moderate difficulty. The tour has a ranger guide that tells the purpose and history of those that entered the cave hundreds of years ago.
